Christian Elser | General Director
Christian co-founded GLOW Lyric Theatre in 2009, and has served as its General Director and resident Music Director/conductor ever since. He is also currently Associate Professor of Music at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, where he is Voice Division director and Director of the PC Opera. As an operatic baritone he has performed nationally with such organizations as the Chicago Opera Theatre, Lyric Opera Kansas City, Light Opera Oklahoma and Lyric Opera Cleveland. Christian has also recorded for Cedille records, and performed on broadcasts such as WFMT Chicago’s “Live from Studio One.” Recent conducting credits include La Bohème (Puccini), Don Pasquale (Donizetti), Die Fledermaus (Strauss), Albert Herring (Britten), Riders to the Sea (Vaughan-Williams), The Pirates of Penzance (Gilbert & Sullivan), Jesus Christ Superstar (Lloyd Webber), and Rent (Larson). Christian is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin (BM), Northwestern University (MM) and the University of Kansas (DMA) Schools of Music.
Jenna Tamisiea | Artistic Director
Co-founder and artistic director of GLOW Lyric Theatre, Jenna Tamisiea is a versatile actress and stage director in both straight and musical theatre. She has performed and directed with companies across the South and Southeast, including The Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Light Opera Oklahoma, Centre Stage South Carolina, The Arkansas Art Center Children’s Theatre, North Carolina Shakespeare, and Atlanta’s Synchronicity Performance Group, Aurora Theatre, Legacy Theatre, 14th Street Playhouse and Seven Stages Theatre. Ashley King | Education Director
In addition to serving as Education Director, Ashley has performed with GLOW in numerous productions since 2008. As a soprano she has also performed with the South Carolina Children’s Theatre, Greenville Chorale, Fountain Inn Chorale, and Spartanburg Repertory Company. Ashley is also the Director of Fine Arts at Shannon Forest Christian School. BM (Voice) University of Georgia, MM (Music Ed) Converse College.
Chad Dyar | Development Director
Brought into the 2015 season as the new Director of Development of GLOW Lyric Theater, Chad T. Dyar has spent over 20 years performing as an operatic tenor and crossover musical theater artist. He currently manages the Aftermarket Team for the Entire Eastern Region of Toshiba Business Solutions. Chad studied music at Furman University and Northwestern University and started off his career at the Atlanta Opera. As a classically trained performer, Chad has over two decades of experience in stage work, teaching Voice, and working in Church Music, Chad has participated in close to 100 productions including operas, musicals, plays, and orchestral concerts. Since joining the GLOW family, Chad performed in “Jesus Christ Superstar” as John, “Amahl and the Night Visitors” as the Page, in “Rent” as Benny, and in “La Bohème” as Parpignol. As Director of Development, Chad will be creating targeted events and campaigns to engage the community as well developing and organizing special events to drive fundraising, social media interests, local media coverage, and overall community awareness.
Brandon Graves | Artistic Administrator
Brandon Graves is not an unfamiliar face with GLOW. Most recently, Brandon performed the role of the Page in Amahl and the Night Visitors and was in the ensemble for La Boheme during GLOW’s inaugural season at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC. Previous performances include Die Fledermaus (Giorgio, 2011) and Little Mary Sunshine (Tom, 2012) with the Spartanburg Repertory Company. An educator as well as a performer, Brandon teaches woodwinds through the Lawson Academy of the Arts at Converse College. Brandon holds a BA in Music Education from North Greenville University and will graduate with the MM in Music Education from Converse College in July.
